About this app

Do not just give someone your ID or a copy of your ID. With the KopieID app, you can protect your identity details. Use KopieID to make a safe copy of your identity card, passport or driving licence.

- Take a photo of your identity document.
- Cross out privacy-sensitive information, such as your burgerservicenummer (BSN).
- Indicate who the copy is intended for and for what purpose. This text and the date are added on the copy as a watermark.
- You can now send the copy, print it or save it safely for later use. Saving the copy is only possible if you have crossed out something.

KopieID app - with the option to save the copy - is for security reasons only available for devices with storage encryption, usually from Android version 7.

Ratings and reviews

This only purpose of this app is to create pictures and store them. However choosing where the images are stored is not possible and you will not be able to find them. Absolutely making the app unusable. [EDIT, after reply] That makes sense, but I had to share the the saved file as a pdf to myself and then screenshot the images from them. Would be ideal if a feature was added to just export the images to your local storage instead.

I love it. This app makes sending official document copies by email more secure and more reasonable to do when needed. The app works very well from my experience, you can easily add a watermark and share directly without even having to save or download the document. This app is clearly made with good privacy and security practices and is very simple and easy to use.

Horrible sound feedback. Vibration can be disabled by disabling touch feedback, but it's still horrible design. You also can't take screenshots within the App so good luck explaining to relatives how it works. Finally, you can't even print the document!
