Nice idea, needs refinement I like the idea of getting information once you dismiss your alarm but I wish there were more options. Some of the add ons listed don't even work, leading to a not found result (such as the To Do list add on) and you can't switch the snooze duration. I also wish the sources can be changed since the weather for Canada is not accurate and should come from a Canadian source or allow me to select which app to draw the information from.
Quick, easy, and accurate. What more do you need? The best!
Love it, when it works. I have been trying out Alarmpad for a few months now, three or four, and I have to say that I love the app and the features. When it works it is awesome. I love all the different ways that I can customize my alarms and the ability to give a verbal dismissal when my hands are full is perfect! The reason for the poor review is that none of these features matter if the alarm doesn't go off when it is scheduled, something that has happened at least a half dozen times so far. That's not acceptable.
Pretty good NFC alarm. **read for critical tip** Like it much better than the previous NFC alarm used. Lots of features and customization. *** Don't use the "Restrict to location" option (at the bottom of individual alarm settings). *** Thought it would be a good idea, so I set it to my home. Figured it would be nice not go off when I was away and not able to turn off with NFC tags. But since I don't keep my GPS on, it didn't recognize my location and ignored my alarm this morning. IMO a major design flaw. Also wish you could set dedicated NFC tags.
Can only think of one thing... ...I'd like to see different: the ability to set different snooze durations for individual alarms. As far as I can tell, you can only set one snooze duration that applies to all alarms at the same time. Would give five stars if this was not the case. Good job on a good app, though!
Great with customization After the last few updates, the app kept saying "invalid ringtone" and default back to same standard tone when I was always able to choose any one from my device with previous versions. Maybe it's Marshmallow but when I looked in Settings at Permissions- only Calandar and Location were granted. I turned on Storage permission and now it works with any ringtone I choose from my device. Thanks Alarm Pad developers for your solution email!
- Fixing permission issue with the "music" and "playlist" ringtone options. If you still can't set an alarm with music, please make sure to check the app's permissions in your phone settings.
