Great study tool. Very rich with features. Beware that some hiragana readings for example sentences are not always in the correct form (長い間 should be ながいあいだ, not ながいま, 何てこった should be なんてこった not なにてこった). I assume this is because the Tatoeba corpus does not provide readings, and the automatic Kuromoji analysis doesn't always provide the correct reading. Anyway, if you take the example sentences with a grain of salt and focus on the vocabulary words you should have no problem.
The app works well, I haven't noticed any bugs. The user interface is clean and makes it easy to use and study with. The flashcards and quizzes make it easy and engaging to study. My only feature request would be to make vocab lists and use a similar flashcard quiz system. Overall, worth the money. Nice work!
(However, when the dictionary of a Kanji is brought up, and the work tapped to 'text-to-speech', the work is awkwardly spelt instead of spoken as a whole. Any fix?) This app is incredible! And it's so immense - the work that went into it is very detailed. The app is very high quality, customizable, fantastic value, and extremely useful. I love it! Great job devs!
It really needs a way to study multiple kanji as a word, and not just kanji by themselves. It's confusing to study a kanji as one-half of "宿題" for example. Otherwise, great app. Best kanji studying app I've tried. You can definitely use it just fine without paying, though I ended up paying just to support the developer. ^^ The added (premium) functionality of studying in groups is really helpful and I use it daily now. Besides wanting to study kanji in conjunction, which will hopefully come someday (since there's already vocabulary in the app that you can save to favorites), it's just about perfect. The writing function is a little buggy, but there's only so much touch accuracy you can expect from a mobile app. Also, the definition of elements get a little weird, so for certain kanji it's hard to look them up because their main elements aren't registered.
This app is the bomb. Well worth the price. I organized all my genki lessons in custom groups and am learning them faster than ever. This is the best kanji app out there. I do wish I could group the kanji together to learn a whole word at once, but that's really minor compared to all the great stuff this app does. Bravo!
It's ridiculously effective. I can learn my daily set of ten kanji within ten minutes or so and then just review then every so often. What I'm really missing is some sort of flashcard style review system, though. It's very hard to keep track of which kanji I need to review and I often end up just reviewing everything I've learnt so far. Add I learn more kanji this will become less and less effective, however.
