Very useful app to practice writing, memorizing kanji. Many useful functions. Especially appreciated how the drawing is automatically adjusted if it's just a bit off the position, making less messy and less likely to drift away from correct form over time. Reading the historical notes on how each kanji developed helps with memorization, as do the many examples.

If you're into the app you can learn quick. I would highly recommend having another speaking Japanese learning app. It becomes difficult to learn to read. The app is unnecessarily complex. You have to memorize what buttons do what in order to get anywhere. I wish the app had something like everyday courses. Where you could learn 10 words and then have it quiz you one those words for a bit, and move on. Then have it show you some old words you learned in the past ever so often for practice.

What you are describing sounds like SRS which I'm currently working on. Keep in mind that Kanji Study is a study app that centers around kanji. You can use example words when studying but it's the kanji that are scheduled for review and not specific words. That app may seem daunting at first but much is customizable.

I'm already learning a lot! It lets you choose between having a quiz, having a guide to trace, letting you draw on a blank space while it corrects your lines, or self-grading your own hand writing. You can really go at your own pace! That said, the app is a little confusing and not the most user-friendly to navigate. But once you get started, it's a powerful leaning tool and I'm very thankful for it!
