Truly fantastic app. Wouldn't have been able to get this far with Japanese study without it. Paid upgrade is totally worth the money too. Thanks. Only improvement is that when you have a kanji's page up, the stroke order animation in the corner completes all the strokes in half a second instead of slowly at the normal rate. This bug occasionally fixes itself but 90% of the time I use the app, I have to select the drawing practice and manually slide the slider slowly across to actually see the stroke order. If you could fix that, it'd be great, thanks.
The app is very well made and organized. The interface is clean and easy to use. You can listen new vocabulary, see animation of strokes... The only things i think that are missing is having acess to libraries that user could be import for hints of different kanji's. Also for the beginners i think it would be interesting to see romaji written next to hiragana/katakana for help. 4.5 stars of 5! I recommend it if you are serious to learn Japanese
I Love this app. This app allows me to learn kanji the way I want to, whether it is to learn radicals first, or start off with commonly used kanji and advance to more difficult ones. I love how you can choose between using flash cards, multiple choice or writing excercise to learn. It is great that you can toggle the layout and kana. It took me a little while to figure it out properly, but that is because I was too impatient to go though the hints first.
So great, it teaches you the stroke order and all the meanings. You can do quizzes, and if you upgrade to the full version you can make your own lists for particular kanji or kana that you are having trouble with. I bought the upgrade I think overall it's great.
I've been going from app to app, until I stumbled with this one, and after spending an entire hour having fun drawing kanjis and stuff, I actually bought the upgrade because I want to do the same with more content...the fact that you can customize the quizzes and the super minimalist design is amazingly easy on the brain...AND NO ADS omg xD
It's absolutely great. A few minutes a day on public transportation and I'm progressing fast. Writing challenge mode is feels rewarding and exciting to learn with. Breaking kanji into grade years also provides a nice motivation in the form of goals.
