About this app

MindZu is perfect for homeschooling, self-study, or as a classroom aid. Learn math the motivating, memorable, fun way! Brilliant animated lessons, complete notes, practice sessions, a challenging game mission, performance management, and lots more.

MindZu is a finalist in the Global Edtech Startup Awards! We're re-inventing how middle-schoolers and high-schoolers learn mathematics, with apps which are affordable, innovative, comprehensive, pedagogically robust, fun, and social.

Stop struggling with high school maths, hassling with homework, or stressing about exams! When maths is an adventure, learning becomes easy. MindZu provides a superb quality, full-curriculum maths education, using unique animated lessons, each with layers of interactive exercises and motivating game missions. Now anyone can be brilliant at maths!

MindZu is like no other learning experience. You get a whole class year of lessons, exercises, easy to understand notes, games, and a motivating performance management system, too. Instead of dull videos of a teacher, you learn through memorable animations, a virtual world of dynamic characters and hundreds of game-based challenges. To save a friend from the Army of Boredom, you will go on a journey through the MindZu landscapes, solving math challenges to progress and succeed. But it is serious fun – the system teaches the entire year's classroom curriculum, and the learning method is powerful but easy to use.

MindZu comprehensively covers the essentials of high school maths - 9th Grade (US), Year 10 (UK, Australia, New Zealand, Commonwealth), Grade IX (India, Canada), Grade XI (South Africa). It's based on CBSE, GCSE, O-Level curricula.

All lesson videos are fully annotated, and you can capture your own notes as text simply by speaking. MindZu will soon allow you to connect with other learners to form study groups within your class or across the world. And the app contains a wealth of additional learning learning tools and guides. MindZu runs on Android smartphones.

Character-based, story-driven learning model: MindZu is an exciting virtual world. Along your learning journey, you are guided by the sublime Muze who is your inspirational and super-wise mentor, and by three companions – Maya, James and Fidel. The Meh are dull gray creatures whose mission is to suck all of the energy and intelligence out of people. They are led by the evil Crassia, who simply hates individuality or fun. She wants to control all knowledge in the world and reduce everyone to mindless automatons. Your mission is to make maths your superpower and defeat her.

Educational quality: The lessons have been meticulously parsed by experts in educational writing, and dramatically enhanced by an experienced team of instructional designers, computer game developers, and mobile UX experts. The learning approach uses cycles of learn-practice-play, which teaches, tests and applies the knowledge. Learning is personalised. You take our own journey as quickly or as slowly as you want, skipping, going deeper or repeating as needed. A comprehensive system of monitoring, rewards and remediation helps you to know where you need to focus, and where you are already brilliant.
