About this app

NotTiled is a free (no ads or micro transactions), open source, and multi platform tile map editor. It is based on Tiled Map Editor (https://www.mapeditor.org/) by Thorbjørn Lindeijer, but expanded with other functionalities.

Requirement:
Minimum ram 4GB.

What you can do with NotTiled:
- Create/edit .tmx file on the go. Support lua/json/csv export.
- Create custom maps for games that support .tmx maps. Eg, Rusted Warfare.
- Create pixel images/animations for your game.
- Create music using jfugue notation. Support midi export.
- Create photo mosaics that you can show off to your friends.
- Create 2D tabletop RPG map design. Support exporting to PNG.
- Create silly platformer/rpg-styled mini games.
- Create cross-stitch patterns from photos? (why not..?)
- among other things... (anything that require tiling things perhaps...)

Please visit NotTiled official discord server if you need the PC version too ;)
Thank you.

PS: I do not read reviews, so please contact me via email/discord if you found bugs/errors or if you have any suggestions. Good reviews would be appreciated though ;).

Sometimes can crash if you try and use a shape tool on top big of an area, but outside of that, it works very well!! Great optimizations in the last couple of updates! I was getting 20fps for the last 5 months until the latest two or 3 updates. Now I get 60 fps most of the time! And finally the app doesn't crash nearly as much as it used to! Great work by the Dev!

I really like this quite a lot. The interface, while simplistic in its design, works pretty well and gets the job done. I only have two personal issues. I have a Note 9, and the app renders incorrectly and is stretched to fit my screen. The other thing is the lack of Lua export. I know it says that exports aren't there YET, but I'm just looking forward to Lua export for use with LOVE2D and a Tiled map loading library that uses Tiled maps exported as .lua files. EDIT: Great response! 5 stars now!

Hi there, Let me fix those issues. Could you send me a screenshot on your Note 9? About the Lua, I still haven't made it because no one asked for it, since you seems to need it, I'll try to accomodate lua export. I can't promise you to update it soon (because I know nothing about Lua yet), but I'll tell you once it is done. Thank you.

Good app, been working on Rusted Warfare maps every so often to fit my taste. I'm not an expert when it comes to programming the tile collision so I've been relying on the Auto Tile feature to carry me through the process, I think there should be another layer added above ground seeing as I have issues placing down decorative tiles outside the item option. Also the Auto-Tile will fill my maps with Water even if I delete every Auto Tile segment before pressing it, accidently overwrites builds.

Hello, I decided to make RW autotiles fill using water first to make sure that there will be no gaps on the ground layer. It's because people used to complain that their map is unplayable because there are some empty tiles. I guess it might help if I put undo functionality for the autotiles. Thank you.
