Doesn't work with Android 5.x For such a large company and profitable company and so much resources they should have an app that is well tested and works. I agree with some others about working with the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is Android 4.x. Royal Bank I expect better products. Used to work This gets 2 stars because it used to work great on my Galaxy S3 KitKat. Now that I have a Nexus 5X with Nougat it won't let me log in. Same thing when I had Marshmallow. Please update this app to work better on new phones! If I don't have a way to deposit checks I may as well close my account.
Just barely useable with enough skill you should be able to make this app work. Just barely. I have to use it on a regular basis and it makes me frustrated every day. The pictures don't focus properly and it takes me 3 to 5 minutes to get one check to submit. When the app loads it gives me a unfortunately this app has stopped notice 3 to 5 times then finally I can log in. All in all if you want to spend more time submitting the check via the app then driving to the bank and waiting in line, you should get this app.
Doesn't work with Galaxy S6 Android 5.0.2. Worked OK with Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.4.2. I can log in fine, but it just can't take the picture of the check! From the Amount Entry screen tapping on the Continue button briefly rotates and shows camera - then return to the entry screen with no chance of snapping a picture.
Useless Tried to scan cheque multiple times, but continually get error saying quality is not good enough. The Canadian Royal Bank version of this app works without problem, so not sure why this one is such garbage. I guess it's back to using the website version & a scanner...
Please improve This is a very basic app. Most of the time it takes 3-5 attempts to deposit a cheque, because the signature side (back) is too blurry. Please improve the use of the camera. Cell phone cameras have a light! Moreover, we want to do more than just depositing a cheque. Why can TD Bank code a rather descent app while RBC can't? Guess my family has to move all of our accounts at some point. Very disappointing.
