Doesn't work with Android 5.x For such a large company and profitable company and so much resources they should have an app that is well tested and works. I agree with some others about working with the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is Android 4.x. Royal Bank I expect better products. Just barely useable with enough skill you should be able to make this app work. Just barely. I have to use it on a regular basis and it makes me frustrated every day. The pictures don't focus properly and it takes me 3 to 5 minutes to get one check to submit. When the app loads it gives me a unfortunately this app has stopped notice 3 to 5 times then finally I can log in. All in all if you want to spend more time submitting the check via the app then driving to the bank and waiting in line, you should get this app.
Used to work This gets 2 stars because it used to work great on my Galaxy S3 KitKat. Now that I have a Nexus 5X with Nougat it won't let me log in. Same thing when I had Marshmallow. Please update this app to work better on new phones! If I don't have a way to deposit checks I may as well close my account.
Please make a modern refresh for this app "it's much needed" Or scrap this app completely and have a integrated system with the RBC mobile app with access to RBC Bank (U.S) accounts even as a separate sign in option or have a dedicated US app. And one of your online reps advised me that this app is no longer in use and dead
Useless Tried to scan cheque multiple times, but continually get error saying quality is not good enough. The Canadian Royal Bank version of this app works without problem, so not sure why this one is such garbage. I guess it's back to using the website version & a scanner...
Doesn't work with Galaxy S6 Android 5.0.2. Worked OK with Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.4.2. I can log in fine, but it just can't take the picture of the check! From the Amount Entry screen tapping on the Continue button briefly rotates and shows camera - then return to the entry screen with no chance of snapping a picture.
