It's the best night light app I could find. Very easy to use and doesn't require you to pay for the main features! The app is also nice and small! Great for night 🌃. The different coloured filters and the ability to make the screen darker make it awesome! If you use this app happily and are on Nougat DO NOT UPGRADE TO OREO. Oreo is hardly an upgrade anyways. We get less control over notifications; can't clear cache and most importantly, apps can't draw over system UI! How stupid is that? If you are on Marshmallow there's plenty of incentive to upgrade to Nougat. There are no restrictions on overlays with Nougat or below unlike Oreo. Don't rate this app lower because you upgraded to Oreo. Just putting this out there. I'm not a tinfoil hatter but Google is restricting what Android can do and taking over.
I've had this for nearly 3 years now. Even when I changed my phone I remembered to install Darker as one of the first things. Thank you so much :3 This has helped me.
I like it but it needs some work for the S8. My nav bar is lit up like a light bulb and killing my eyes. That's all that needs improving apart from that it's all good!
Worked for what I needed it for but it does not actually lower the brightness. It just puts a transparent black overlay (a filter) over the whole screen which is misleading.
Since Oreo update, the navigation bar and soft keys are not dimmed, despite using settings specifically targeted at this, which in turn is causing serious eye strain at night when trying to use this app's function.
Works well on Nexus 5x and Android 8.1. Only major issue is that is not Open Source, so we don't know if it is doing something nefarious.

- Fixed a few bugs caused by the previous update
Note: For Android 8.0+ devices, Google removed the ability for apps to draw over system elements due to security, so system elements like the status bar can no longer be darkened
