About this app

MMGuardian Parental Control gives parents the ability to set up comprehensive parental controls and monitoring on their child's Android phone. MMGuardian can monitor text & picture messages, soical media messages, apps, contacts among other parental control features.

Note:
The app uses Android AccessibilityService API to implement some of the core features:
1. It collects App Usage Data to enable app monitoring and app blocking.
2. It collects Web Browsing History to implement web filtering and monitor.
3. It collects selected Social Media Message Data to implement child safety alerts and message reports on popular messaging apps.

MMGuardian Parental Control helps you to protect your child from cyberbullying, drug abuse, violence, sexting, cyber predators and stay in the know about their phone usage habits.

MMGuardian is a monitoring app for parents to keep their kids safe, and shall not be used to monitor anyone else even with their permission.

MMGuardian is not a spying app.

The app includes a range of Parental Control functions specifically designed for parents to be able to:

★ Take advantage of the latest advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to be alerted when a potentially inappropriate image is detected as having been exchanged in an MMS picture message, or stored on your child’s phone.

★ Receive specific alerts when the content of your child’s SMS text messages may indicate cyberbullying, violence, suicidal thoughts, and more.

★ Block SMS or MMS messages with undesirable contacts

★ Block the ability for your child to send or receive picture messages (MMS).

★ Monitor detailed SMS and selected social media message history.

The MMGuardian Parental Control app also includes optional functions enabling parents to:
Locate your child’s phone
Block and monitor phone calls
Limit screen time with a comprehensive App Control function
Lock the phone at pre-defined times
Enforce safe browsing with an advanced Web Filtering function.

Uninstall Protection
• The MMGuardian Uninstall Protection function hinders kids from removing or tampering with the app.
• If Uninstall Protection function has been enabled, the app's Device Administrator status must first be disabled in order to uninstall the app.
• To uninstall the app the easy way: open the app, enter your parent admin password and tap on the trash can icon at the top.


How To Keep Your Teen Safe
• Download the MMGuardian Parental Control Messenger App your child’s smartphone, and launch the app.
• Configure the app to be the default SMS messaging app on the phone, register the app, and follow the in-app guidance to set up the app.

Ratings and reviews

Useless waste of money. It keeps switching itself off, and when I reached out for tech support all they could offer was 'make sure nothing else is switching the app off' as if I hadn't already tried that. If it switches itself off then you cannot get any information on the days you didn't manually download the data from the child's phone. And because it keeps switching itself off every single "good feature" is pointless. What a waste of money!!

Really needs improvements: this app is really easy to break if you know what you are doing, its messaging app is severely outdated compared to others, it breaks outlook, it doesn't warn the user how much time they have left which means it just randomly pops up which is really annoying. Speaking of popping up, it seems to do it half the time against what the parent tells it to do. Really needs a major update to fix these issues. Also costs a lot for bad service.

For some reason the app stops working every day. For example time limits - once a day you have to disable and re-enable the settings for it to start working again. If you don't do this, then none of the protections will work the next day and your child will have full use of the phone. It's extremely annoying as you never know when it's going to suddently stop working. If they don't fix the bugs when my trial runs out in 7 days then I'm switching to Qustodio.
