Most of the reviews are by kids that are a little annoyed by the restriction. Sorry kids but from a parent perspective. This is best of breed app. Tested a few based on trustedreviews etc but this is the simplest and best way to control apps from app store. you get a simple text or message when your child has downloaded an app and you can appprove it or not. It has the best fine tuning of time schedules, i have a group for games which lock out at 8pm but i let his music apps run to 10pm. Best thing is support, fast response and well presented solutions. 5 stars.
The idea of the app is fine but it blocks all your shortcut settings from the notification bar. This flaw has always been in the app for as long as I could remember. Please reconsider getting covenant eyes or netspark instead of mm guardian; for your own good!
(I am a user of this on the receiving child end of the deal) personally I am not a fan of this. I've been through better parental apps, so I suggest considering other apps before this one. I am fine with my parents wanting to protect me from bad things. That is a good thing for my parents to do. This app restricts things I need though. Like my school website, research sites, and settings in my phone. I cannot change data settings sonif you are on limited data you have to go through a whole prosses to avoid over data fines. Consider something different if you want to protect your kids
It could be a LOT better. It blocks literally EVERYTHING. Want to go on a news site? NOPE. An online game? NOPE. School site? NOPE. Does not warn when near time limit, and always fails to unlock when curfew is over. At least they have good customer service. Parents, if you're reading this, chill out. Us kids don't really need this level of 'protection'. At this point it's just overprotective.
My mother got this mainly to block off internet, but what she didn't understand is it locks up my clock so i cant set my alarm for school. Otherwise i think its fine.
From a 14 year old male, this app is alright. I really don't like this app taking away my freedom, but I can't really do anything about it. This app does what it's supposed to, and my dad is very happy with it. However, the MMGuardian Browser's filters are broken. I can't go on certain sites that have no inappropriate content, while other sites, which you would think that those would be blocked instead, such as Reddit, aren't. Also, I have figured out how to uninstall the app, but my dad would catch me an just reinstall it again, so there is no point. Fix this please. Parents, if you like keeping your kids "safe" while they use their phone, this app, flawed as it is, is your best bet. All that said, I still wish I didn't have this on my phone.
