About this app

Takes a photo and the color on the center is shown on RGB, HSV and HTML notation. Also looks for the nearest color name and speaks it (needs the Speech Synthesis API to speak Colors). It has a list of more than 1600 color names.

Useful for color blind people, designers, etc.

Due to popular demand, now includes a white balance option!
Can also share recognized colors by Facebook, Twitter, Email, etc.

I'm fairly red-green colorblind (as 1-in-14 US males), so I'm using it to determine wire colors. It works great for that, but I take a number of readings to be SURE, as lighting affects it. White wire on white background (no flash, ambient lighting) mostly ID as gray, did better on black background. Simple name (i.e., Blue, Red, etc) stays pretty consistent but the fancy name (like "Cottage Blue") changes almost every time, even when I try not to move the phone. No refocus when moved

I truly appreciate the simplicity of this app but I have a question and a few suggestions. Question: Where are the images stored that are shot, each time to determine a colour?? Suggestions: 1. The text at the bottom left of the screen needs to be increased in size. Its barely visible & requires a magnifying glass to read the RGB & other values. 2. Add a choice to disable or enable the camera shutter sound just like there are choices for other parameters. 3. Enable portrait & landscape mode.

Works but it's far to simplistic.. No way to turn off flash (Galaxy A73)... Not sure if it's standard to force the flash but it should without doubt be optional. Zoom function and a selection of crosshairs for greater accuracy would be nice too. We may even consider putting up with an ad or two with some more advanced (not really) features... Devs, please consider these suggestions!
