Great app. I've been using it for a week and I've already saved about 60 dollars it tells me. However, after subscribing I feel like it has not been doing as great a job at recording drives as it did before I paid. The app counts all drives towards a 40 drive allowance per month, including times when you're riding for personal drives. That uses up the 40 drive a month limit pretty fast if your job is driving-heavy like me. Great app, could be a little better but it works well for me.
Easy, and you can see your deduction grow before your very eyes with each swipe. I didn't give it 5 stars because I don't like how you get multiple notifications for the same drive. Also don't like how it counts personal drives towards your 40 drive cap and it often splits up the same drive and inflates the total drives in that way. Also it stops tracking drives after you hit the limit instead of continuing to track them so you can classify them if you decide to go premium later.
Would miss my drives every now and then. When I contacted the customer service they wanted the details of all the drives it missed. If I had that kind of time to maintain a log of drives as back up, I would not be using the app. Fix the problem rather than stolling until customer stops bothering you. Uninstalled
As an Uber driver, it makes tracking my mileage for my taxes pretty much effortless. The year end mileage report is in the format required by the IRS. I've been using the app for almost two years, and only once or twice has it missed logging some drives. A couple of improvements I would suggest: >>expand the app to allow users to track other business expenses (gas, car care/maintenance, client amenities, flights/travel, meals, more) >>allow users to split up logged trips to better correspond to the trip category (Sometimes I start driving for Uber right after I make a personal drive, and the drives are logged as one drive since I didn't stop long enough in between the drives). Maybe have some kind of a "switch/toggle button" to stop the first drive and start the second.
First, many of my longer trips logged as the same begin and end location with no way to determine where I travelled in between. Also, I manually kept my mileage for months and this tracker consistently logged less than 75% of those miles. Would get a refund if I could.
I have had Mile IQ for about 16 months now. It was great for about a year but in December it stopped picking up some of my drives. I double checked all the necessary settings to make sure I was letting it do its job but that didn't help. Now it is really only grabbing the drives about 7-8 miles long or longer and certainly wasn't longing all 10-15 drives I have every day. Disappointed and moving on to try a competitor.
Thanks for using MileIQ to maximize your mileage deduction or reimbursement!
Every update of MileIQ includes improvements for reliability, speed and stability. Whenever we launch new features, we'll highlight those specifically in the app.
