This app must be very power hungry. It crashes no matter what I do. I removed all unnecessary apps. I cleaned out all the items that were using memory or were running in the background. If the only way to sign up for cell service and the MobileX app crashes on startup, I guess I'm SOL. Sorry Out of Luck. Poor business model to depend solely on a power hungry app!

Hi Clark. Sorry you were having issues with signing up with MobileX. We haven't encountered any similar app crashing issues so far, so this one is hard for us to address. If you have a different phone you'd like to try us on, we'd love for you to give us another try :)

Just terribly buggy currently. If MobileX had the option to manage your account from their website, like normal providers, then it wouldn't be a big deal if their app is buggy. Can't even contact support at times because it throws an error saying "Well... That's not supposed to happen", without even giving so much as an error code.

We apologize for your experience. MobileX, launched as the first app-based wireless company, and now we're actively working on enabling website account management. In the meantime, if you face issues during activation, return to the app home screen, and click the XpertCare icon to request assistance.

The app is horribly immature. It asks for a previous carrier but when selected it never enteres into the text field and you can't type it by hand. at this point you can't continue further to set up your phone. Apparently they don't have any physical people to talk to about this as I can't find a Phobe # on their website. $9.95 for SIM card which I can't return. Making a load of $$$ that way!

What's new

Improvements to the activation flow, with better device compatibility checks, phone number selection, and new screens to show the progress and status when porting a number.

We've also made small tweaks throughout the app, including adding more details for each payment in your payment history.
