Bi-directional Brilliance It loads and works perfectly on my Samsung S phablet. It is instantly enjoyable!
so many downloads it can be used offline, but asks me to download whole dictionary occasionally. i can't use it offline unlessi download it again.
good, but could be better There's SO MUCH information in some listings that it's nearly impossible to get through it all. It would be a LOT more user-friendly and helpful if it were possible to search within a section. Lots of words are used in phrases and have slight and sometimes major changes when used with other words. If you're looking for a phrase, good luck. It's probably there, but you have to search manually (with your eyes) through pages and pages of info, hopefully not missing what you're looking for. In this age of search engines, it's hard to imagine why there is no search function included with this app, which is not cheap compared to others.
App stopped working 😢 I got error message java.10.EOFException. Will try to reinstall. Hopefully I won't have to pay again. App was fine until it stopped working during a trip to Spain. I have Collins Polish-English dictionary from same developer and that works fine. OK I reinstalled app and it seems to be working fine so I upgraded my review to four stars. 😀
Excellent resource for examples of words in context Often, the definition of an unknown word (or phrase) isn't enough. To understand it, I may need to see an example of how it is used. This dictionary meets my needs very well in this respect. Illustrative examples abound, earning it a place in my references. Two needed improvements: -- Enable a full-text search, to quickly locate examples of phrases that do not appear as head words. -- Enable saving the app on the SD card, which is not possible currently when using Jelly Bean v 4.3. Nice app, good job!
