The current version is clean, stable, and attractive. A user since 2015 on many devices, I can say UB is better now than it's ever been. I've used pretty much every reader out there, and UB still beats them all. If the developers keep pushing out fixes and tweaks, UB should stay on top.
Occasionally when I press on a book I have been reading will suddenly say file not found, then delete it and I have to re-download it. Then today suddenly my book is unviewable. It loads and thinks its on a page but the screen is completely blank. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling app but same problem, blank books. This has all happened with free books and wondered if it is a con to get me to pay.
Don't waste $5 like I did. There are Free apps that actually work without adverts. When you put the word dictionary in a menu you would think it takes you to just that. NO it takes you in a round about journey to Google Play to download an app for a dictionary which still isn't linked to UB menu that says "dictionary." Only after contacting support did I find I had to use "copy" to get to outside dictionary app. Go to page doesn't work. Unable to turn tablet horizontal. Stupid textured page backgrounds that do nothing for a serious reader except make it harder to read.
I really like this app. It's easy to use and is easy to organize my favorite books. My one gripe, however, is that when I switch to doing something else and then come back, it takes me out of the book I'm reading. Before i updated the app, it leads me straight back to the book i was reading when I open the app. Can you fix this? It's a pain to always have to select the individual bookshelf and then the book every time I return to the app.
Brilliant customer service. An update broke a feature but when I notified them, they not only fixed it within twenty-four hours, but they told me when it was done, when it could be downloaded and then followed up for satisfaction. This is Disney World quality customer satisfaction.
A great app... One of my favourites. I'm on my fourth ereader, and for the last 3 and a half years have been predominantly using my Google Nexus 7 tablet as my go to ereader. I'm curious to know if I buy the premium app will it work with Adobe i.d.? My local library ebook borrowing just supports bluefire and aldiko which falls way behind Ubreader. Thanks for a great product!! Chris Bennett
