The number of locations on the map will be gradually updated and developed. Selected topics include the post-war period, the 60's and 70's, a period of system transition and the first decade of the twenty-first century. The app is available in Polish English and German.
How it works?
Our application allows you to get to know similar places and architectural objects in both cities, matching particular and historical events and social phenomena. In addition you have the opportunity to read about the influences and processes that have impacted and formed particular locations. The launch of the application is combined with the inaugural conference and workshops with participants from Warsaw and Berlin. The event is dedicated to urban space and the use of new technologies in its study. The application is co-funded by the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation and is implemented in a partnership with the Foundation Ośrodek KARTA and Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin.
