About this app

Lifeline keeps the big moments of your life on one line.

It isn't a daily diary. Write when something matters: a first day at school, a move, a wedding, a loss, a trip you still think about. Each moment becomes a lens on a single strand that runs through your whole life, from your earliest memory to today.

YOUR LIFE ON ONE LINE
• Every memory sits on the line at its date: its emotion gives it colour, and how strong it was gives it size.
• Move along the years, or step back and see your whole life at once.
• Search by title, text, date or emotion, or jump to any day.

A MOMENT, THE WAY IT FELT
• A title, a date and your own words: typed, dictated, or recorded as a voice note you can turn into text.
• Photos, a video, a voice note, a song from Spotify and an ambient sound.
• An emotion, a word of your own for it, and how strong it was.

ON THIS DAY
Memories from this date in earlier years come back on the home screen and in a morning notification. A moment you'd rather not revisit can stay quiet ("Don't remind me of this").

WHAT IT MEANT TO YOU (AI, ONLY IF YOU WANT IT)
Gentle questions about what a moment changed. With Premium: a deeper round of questions, the pattern of the month, the Life Compass, and what followed similar moments in your life.
AI stays off until you agree (18+). It runs on Google's Gemini through our server, you can switch it off at any time, and "What the AI sees" shows exactly what is sent.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Lock any memory with a master password: its text, reflections and the AI's questions and your answers are encrypted on your phone (AES-256) before they are synced. Titles, dates, emotions, photos, videos and voice notes are not encrypted, so the line and "On this day" keep working.
• An optional recovery key, in case you forget the password.
• Unlock with your fingerprint or face.
• Usage statistics and crash reports only if you allow them. No ads.
• Export the whole archive for free: one ZIP with every memory as text plus your photos, videos and voice notes, or a single memory as a PDF.

ALSO
• Home-screen widgets: On this day and your Life Compass.
• Works offline and syncs between your devices, Android and iOS.
• Sign in with email or Google, or try it as a guest (up to 3 memories).
• In 9 languages.

PREMIUM
Free: the line, your memories, On this day, locking, export and the first round of AI questions. Premium adds:
• No limits on photos, videos, voice notes and songs in a memory
• The deeper round of AI questions, the Life Compass, monthly patterns and what followed similar moments
• "In the world": the news and songs of a memory's day
• The full ambient sound library and reminders for your action plans
Monthly or yearly subscription. New subscribers get the first week free. It renews automatically; cancel at any time in Google Play.
The big moments of your life on one line. Private, with AI only if you want it.

What’s new

Shared memories got better: everyone hears the music chosen by the person who started the memory, PDFs include every photo and are much faster, shared photos open from the phone instead of downloading again, and a short "How it works" explains inviting. Plus many fixes for drafts, sync, invites and the lock screen.
