I've been using this app for a month or so and am really impressed. The app is easy to use, and I've been able to squirrel away a few quid for a rainy day. I think if you're looking for quick returns this isn't necessarily the app for you, I see this as long term investment. I'm not expecting to make millions but it's always good to have some savings and this way I can do that without really noticing. Have spoken to a few friends about this app and they are now looking into it too.
I'm never going to invest enough for the benefit to offset the ridiculous £1 a month fee which means the money is better off staying in my bank account. Be very wary of the 3 month free trial. It takes weeks to draw everything out and close the account. So if you wait till the end of the 3 months you'll end up with charges you can't avoid.
The one pound a month fee needs to be thrown out. Unless you invest a very large amount of money (5K plus), you are better off with other UK isa providers that charge a flat 1% rate. I set it up to debit 20 a week but upon further research, it's totally uncompetitive. Go with other providers!!! ( many offer introduction cashback offers)
Loving it soo far. People complaining about fees but the way I'm looking at it, I'm saving money I would have spent plus it takes a few weeks to withdraw anything so puts you off pulling money out like you would with a regular bank. Even without interest I'll have saved up something in a few years. Some people also paranoid about handing over bank details. They're fully regulated and have reviews from reputable papers so I feel good about it.
Seems to work ok. I dont use the auto top up feature since i dont want to give my account details away. So instead add a set amount every week. Gone in slow to see if it works with a few hundred but made over £5 in a month and half which more then covers the costs. Love the look and feel of the app and im saving more then i would normally because of it
This is a great app to aid in saving, either by DD or round-ups via your shopping habits. Fees aside the 3 investment levels gives you control over the risk and they're already beating the banks for me. If you can save £10+ a week, go for it.
This update includes:
- Super Round Ups - yes, that's right. You can now double your round up amounts by setting up Super Round Ups in Account Settings.
- Rebalancing - you now have the option to change the allocation of your historic investments.
