I initially had difficulty registering - the text message i needed to register took over an hour to arrive, and in the meantime the app locked me out. But now it's installed it works well. I like that it only lets you make payments you've made before on the website.
March update very poor Used to use the older limited functionality app quite a lot for easy checking of account activity. Was initially very pleased that extra functionality had been added. However the app now rarely logs in. I've given up on it many times to go the web interface instead. Likely to give up on it completely soon. Please sort the awful performance! ...Giving up now. Useless app never connects, just gives a vague useless error.
The app now works on my older phone. Registration was easy, it's fairly smooth. At 3.6Meg it's refreshingly light for a shop/service app (I de-installed Amazon, 'no business being 20M). The feature-set is a good compromise between convenience and security, for example you can only make payments that you have previously made on the web site. However not being able to send a secure message is strangely missing, I can think of occasions when I urgently want to send a message to the bank but a call is not appropriate. I would like to be able to change the order of the accounts. I have two current accounts and the Direct Debit account comes up first, where as I would like the Day-to-day account to be first / far-left. I also wonder whether the app can do the job of the little calculator thingy for transferring money on the website, not the actual new transfer, but generating the magic number. However I appreciate that the two-factor thing is built upon user having successfully logged into the website AND having the card + PIN.
Found a glitch Apon trying to transfer funds between my accounts I discovered that if I select my savings account then select my current account, it deselects my savings account and vice versa please fix this as I desperately need to transfer some money
Getting better but I do have an annoyance with the latest build... When loading the application and presented with the passcode screen... I often start to input my passcode and the screen flashes and doesn't registered that input... it looks like it loads something, I'm not sure... however it is annoying
Ahhhhhhhhhhh frustrating Why change the colour when there was so much that needed doing. No dd or standing order access. No secure message facilities. And still doesn't tell you the real available balance if a dd has gone out to push you overdrawn. Waited ages and ages for an update. A child has obviously thought that the people want a preety colour. No no no....m we want a competent banking app. Ah well... maybe only another 18 months until the hope that they improve the app from the Internet bank.
