About this app

The Bayer Spray app can help you effectively plan applications for your specific fields, helping you calculate erosion/runoff mitigation points based on EPA guidelines, providing field-specific weather forecasts — including temperature and inversion risk — and enabling creation and retention of application records.
Forecast Section - Helps you identify weather conditions and inversion risk prior to spray applications.
• Hourly, location-specific forecast of temperature, relative humidity, wind speed (adjusted to 6 feet) and direction, and inversion risk.
• Specific field location inversion-risk forecast.
• The weather forecasts leverage publicly available weather data and models from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and unique models from Bayer Crop Science’s weather scientists to forecast weather conditions — including the likelihood of an inversion — that help growers and applicators planning to spray a pesticide.
Fields Section (Formerly Location) - Allows for application planning at the field level.
• The list of saved fields provides information on any mitigation points calculated, as well as certain application risks for upcoming planned applications.
• NEW alerts help applicators understand how to plan for compliant sprays on their unique fields.
Compliance Section - A new addition to the app that provides a runoff/erosion mitigation calculator to help farmers and applicators plan applications.
• The calculator keeps a running total of mitigation points (by field) accumulated as the form is completed.
• Calculations can be completed for multiple fields at a time.
• Save, edit, and share field-specific calculations to track compliance.
SprayLog Section (Formerly Record) - Helps applicators with mandatory dicamba recordkeeping requirements.
• Elements required by the federal OTT dicamba product label are included to enable greater ease of use.
• Applicators can save and export field records.
• The information you enter in the application records is stored on your mobile device.

It is the applicator's responsibility to comply with all laws relevant to the applicator's farming operation, including pesticide label compliance.

Ratings and reviews

Works well for my documentation purposes, it would be better if the spray start and end times would default to current times so it would make on the go documentation faster. Also the app runs a little slow when dealing with the forecast and updating records. I would love to see an update for the default times.

I use the weather forecast portion to help predict the best time to spray my pastures. Wind speed and inversion data is indispensable information.

I like it.
