Great concept and generally works as intended. However, the app has the worst user interface and usability I have ever seen, especially for an app that is this popular. The developers commented that this is due to cross-platform compatibility, which is just a horrible excuse. There are plenty of applications that are cross-platform and that feature a proper user interface.
I LOVE the Moon Board. The app needs some work though. A little glitchy, and some nonsensic al controls. Also, you cannot delete a problem, so if you submit by mistake, which I did and multiple other people I have talked to have done, you can't delete it. As of right now, I can't even log into the app. Since the recent update, it won't let me even though I reset my password twice. It just needs some work. Update: Now it has deleted all of my problems and won't let me add any new ones. Pretty frustrated with this right now. Zero customer support. Edit: Hi Dale. If you want to tout customer support, don't you think the customers should know where to get it from? It offers it nowhere on your website or app. I even emailed your sales team because that was the only email available on the site. They did not respond. Expecting people to guess where to get their customer support from does not constitute customer support.
I'm compelled to write my first review, since this is the least usable and most frustrating app I've ever used. I open the app for the first time in a few months, and it asks me to verify my account. Ok, but the email password reset doesn't work. I don't actually remember setting up an email to begin with... So I have to make a new account. Really unintuitive how to do so. And then the text input box blocks the input field so I can't see what I'm typing. As for the app, lots of usability issues like: -unintuitive slider behavior when selecting grades. Eg if you select v6-v6 you have to guess which way to move the sliders away -unintuitive back button behavior. I would expect going from a problem list to a specific problem then hitting back would go back to the problem list, not the main page. This forces lots of extra taps. -you need to press X after changing a filter to see the new problem list. Strange I like the moonboard concept and want to have a smooth app experience when using it. Sadly not there yet.
Navigation is very strange. Just make a slider menu like in other apps. Back button must return to the previous screen. I hate when I press it out of habit and get on the home screen. A lot of bugs with login and friend list! Nevertheless, I still love it. But please, make it more usable for people.
Great app, not sure if there is a way to fix my logbook, it isn't working properly... Edit: I ended up emailing you guys and it got fixed, the logbook still seems to be really slow but it's working properly now. Edit: it's slow once I have filled out all the details and hit the log button, sometimes it takes a few minutes before the climb actually logs and my internet connection is good so that isn't the cause
- Most unintuitive navigation I have ever seen. Finding and adding friends is a pain in the ass. Please make it more usable! - Hi, What are your suggestions to make it better? If you don't like something why not submit some feedback. Thanks, Dale Hi! Speaking about unintuitive navigation I mean you should follow android "rules". This includes the behavior of the "back" button. It always throw me to main menu instead of previous screen. Not obvious gestures. I feel like my granny when she uses a PC. I don't know how to make the app more intuitive exactly. Maybe you need to add side menu how it is done in most android apps. As I said, the main problem of this app is that it doesn't feel like native android app. As for finding and adding friends: First I couldn't find my friend. After 15 minutes of black magic I finally send him a request, but he didn't receive it. Logged out, logged in again. Boom! My friend is in my contacts...Also, if you tap notification nothing happens. Thank you!
Fix issue with grade filters (introduced by previous update 6.1.7, my mistake!)
