Ratings and reviews

It was working really well when I was first using this app in September during my Vietnam trip. However, when using it again in December during another Vietnam visit, I'm running into constant issues with topping up my balance and during payment. It's embarrassing suddenly finding myself not being able to pay vendors. The top priority for this app should be reliability. What's the point of using this app if I still have to carry cash around as a backup?! They also just added transaction fees..

Incredibly invasive collection of personal information required to use the service, including passport and bank statements. I've never had to provide so much information, even to a bank or brokerage managing many thousands of dollars. It is totally outrageous. Still no support for Thai Personal QR Codes. They have been promising this for many months. I was barely able to use the service on my 3 week trip, and ended up just having to pay more fees to transfer my money back. Do not recommend.

Not secure! Very limited options! Most financial apps require you to authenticate each time you launch the app, so if your phone is stolen, the app can not be accessed. Monetary Pay does even require you to log in each time it is launched! Also, I prefer to send money to my payment apps from my bank. That is more secure than connecting the payment app directly to the bank. If someone can get into your Moreta Pay app, they can drain your bank account or credit card!
