Solid useful app, but yet refuses to allow me to add my cell phone as a trusted device............. Losing points because of that.
The app's 'recognize this device' function does nothing but fail for my current model Android device. Since recognition via one's own device is part of the important new security features wisely featured on MS website, app failure to do so is particularly concerning. Worse, my trouble report via phone to MS IT dept remains on limbo. Also, this app needs to incorporate the fingerprint recognition feature that most other reputable banks and finance firms have as std equipment in their apps. No reason why one must continually remember a convoluted username/pw combo just to access basic MS account functions MS app. (Perhaps this is moot once device recognition works.) For an otherwise solid firm, this MS digital effort is sorely lacking. Happy to consider upgrading rating once these key issues get addressed. Previous verbiage posted in Nov. 12/6/17 Update: Now upgrading to 4 stars following resolution of 'device not recognized' issue. Note: MS IT dept never offered solution despite me (and others) opening a trouble ticket back in Oct (!). Eventual solution was discovered when I tried uninstall/reinstall to ensire capture of any bug fixes in subsequent updated versions. (Apparently the bug fix came in Dec app update that didn't auto-update). Would rate it a 5 except there is still no fingerprint recognition login option as of this date. Still hoping for that.
Takes much too long to get to login page and verify log in name/password. Once logged in every action is lethargic. Account information is often not up to date even within the 20 minute delay window. Logging out and closing the app is also a very slow process and occasionally locks up my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5). Very disappointed. You would think a company the like of MSSB would have a top-notch IT organization producing quality tools for clients.
Well designed and great user interface. Love the new zelle feature. Love the large deposit limits and great access to market quotes. The e wire feature sets it apart from many other institutions.
Worked well enough until recently. Now it hangs up on "Verifying" after logging in.
Bug fixes and security improvements.
