Got a bit dumber Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the active display, but it seems to wake up MUCH more often on its own, and not when I actually want it to now. With Motorola Assist to detect driving, it should detect that most movement is not voluntary as well, but that doesn't seem to be the case. But like I said, I love this feature, and these criticisms are pretty minor when the display is super battery friendly and convenient. A feature update would be very welcomed!
Love it, BUT- This simple feature is handy to have! I love it and wouldn't want to go back to not having it! A couple things I'd like to see since third party apps have them are notification duration and color settings, a gesture to clear one notification at a time (like swipe one way to clear them all and swipe the other way to clear only the current notification), and also the ability to cycle until you see the one you want to open. Also since update, it seems android os is gobbling my battery life. Any connection?
Motorola Droid MAXX Everything works fine, love the general use of it and is really handy but... At times the clock is glitchy and it's like it's erased in some areas... Happens every 3 out of 10 times the active display is on... I understand it being a super AMOLED display and only certain pixels light up when needed... Besides I know that X8 chip is a Best I just have that only issue.
Loved this feature I love the active display. Just 1 minor tweak and it will be perfect. when you swipe left or right, it dismisses all of the notifications. may be the developers can put in a little feature where swiping left will dismiss all the notifications and swiping right makes them disappear 1 by 1. Oh, and also It will be great to have this on my 2nd phone as well, Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Handy and decent ! It responds accurately , looks good and supports almost for all apps . Pros: 1. Battery friendly notifications 2. Looks good on black unlit background. 3. Displays only necessary content. 4. It's so addictive that ,after a few month use u barely use the power button to unlock your phone ! Cons: 1. If you have multiple notifications there's no way to review the previous ones without unlocking the phone !! 2. The blink frequency when there's no notification is a bit low,it could be user controlled!
No privacy It used to work fine. Now if I get a message on what app it displays the content on the pin locked screen..Privacy is turned on. I tried reinstalling updates still no go.. Hope you guys will fix it cos active display is one of the feature that prompted me to buy the phone..
This update to Active Display now includes the following:
