About this app

The MOTOsafety app is a companion application to the MOTOsafety GPS teen tracking system. This easy-to-use app lets you locate and monitor your teen drive in real time directly from your Android device. This application requires an active subscription to the MOTOsafety service.

Features:
- Instant GPS tracking of any teen driver equipped with a Linxup GPS tracking device.
- View a breadcrumb location history. Clickable icons provide speed, direction and stops information. You can also view alerts on the map.
- Map views with both map and satellite options.

**Activate your tracking device on the web portal and then plug it into the vehicle. Ensure that your tracking device is reporting location status before logging into the mobile application.

I've had this app for 3 years and there have been minor issues with my device not tracking but this new update has made the app useless. It's very slow to load and freezes up when I try to change the map settings. Another problem is that the app is not showing the address of where the car is stopped anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app 2 times still useless. I'll be looking for a new device it seems. It was good 3 year run. Glad the update was too fix bugs.

The older versions of the app used to work very well. Lately, I find this app being unreliable with poor refresh rate for my car's location and being unable to locate my vehicle for an extended period of time. If the problem continues to persist, I might have to find another solution to monitor my teen's driving and cancel my subscription. As others have mentioned, the app sometimes gets stuck on certain functions and doesn't go back to locating my vehicle.

App will not load 90% of the time. To get it to load and track, I have to uninstall and then reinstall and it works a couple of times and then right back to not loading. Update on 11/4. Downloaded the newest version and it seems like it's even worse. For example, today I had to unninstall and reinstalled at 12:30 p.m. to get it to work, then at 2:15 p.m. would not load. Had to uninstall and reinstall it again.

What’s new

This update introduces a now smoother Tracker setup, and you can add or view license plates directly from Tracker Details. We also fixed issues with push notifications, real-time tracker updates, and app stability for a better overall experience.
