About this app

MoviePass is the nation's premier theatrical subscription service, allowing you to see movies in over 4000 theaters across the United States for one low subscription fee.

How It Works:
-Sign up for MoviePass to receive your MoviePass card. Download the MoviePass app while waiting for your card to arrive.

-Once you receive your card in the mail, use the app to search for theaters, movies and showtimes.

-Go to the theater and check into your selected showtime using the app.

-Once you have checked in your card will be activated; swipe your MoviePass card with a ticket agent or at a kiosk to get your ticket!

-For theaters that accept e-ticketing via MoviePass, reserve your same-day ticket and seat (when applicable) ahead of time from any location. No need to use your card, just present the e-ticket confirmation code at the theater's box office to get your ticket.

Not worth it. The app uses credits to hide the obvious fact that it's merely offering consumers 1 to 1 ticket pricing. For example, you pay 23 dollars a month and you get 70 or so credits to spend during the period. What they don't tell you is that an average ticket can be 35 credits each roughly. This is not the moviepass of old and their way of doing business was never sustainable.

Thanks for your feedback. How many movies you can see per month depends on the movie, when you see it, and where you see it. A Tuesday matinee is going to be less than seeing a big Saturday night new release. MoviePass shines in its versatility of use across the US and most theaters.

Please listen that this is not anything you want to hop on board with! movie pass has been charging me and other people even after canceling subscription. I haven't had movie pass in forever and they just randomly charged me $13 and it's a headache to try to get it resolved from happening again. Please save yourself the trouble and forget about MoviePass

That definitely shouldn’t be happening. If you’re seeing charges after canceling, please reach out via in-app chat or support@moviepass.com so we can look into your account and make sure it’s resolved.

Utterly unreliable and a waste of money. One minute app can locate nearby theaters, next minute it can't find anything. Limited movie selection and forget planning anything in advance because you can't buy a ticket more than a couple hours out. Reset password option does not work. No reset link will ever be sent. I tried to get my husband to cancel this dud of a birthday gift, but sadly he procrastinated and missed the window --I would've gotten more use from a bowling ball named Homer.
