I love my MoviePass! I haven't had major issues at all. Sometimes I have to sign in again but most times it keeps me logged in for days. My card has worked flawlessly! Once you know how it works it is great. When you first receive your card you have to go within 100 yards of the theater. Pick the movie and time then "check in". That should activate your card. I go to the kiosk inside the theater and purchase my ticket. Always use "credit card" option, not "gift card". The card works just like a credit card. Enjoy!
Customer service literally doesn't exist. Their website just directs you to the app, and the app doesn't work 1 in 10 times as is intended. If it does not work then you are up the creek and have to pay yourself. I've been trying to upgrade since the announcement and it still has not worked. I'm actually trying to give them MORE money upfront and they don't seem to want it. Great service. I'm praying for competition run them out of business.
I got 2 accounts. One of my accounts works great and I love it. The other I had redemption issues with the first time I tried to use it and haven't been able to sign in since I first used it. I've contacted support a week ago and no one will respond. I'm very dissatisfied with the customer service and will probably not be paying for this any more after the new year.
The app, it SUCKS. It has got lots of bugs. Don't even take their latest plan of $6.95 until the actual user reviews on this app raises. First movie it worked fine flawless, now I decided to watch an other movie1. it asks me to login again 2. even though I give correct credentials it says wrong. 3.even if it's connected after infinite tries.. movies won't load or the list won't populate. All this happened when I'm at the theater, it costed me two trips to the theater with no ticket finally. They left me no choice, I would like to give a 0 star if it's possible. What good is a great deal that doesn't have a working app.
This may just be the worst app ever created. I think I could make a better app in a week, and I don't know how to write apps. The user interface is horrendous, it constantly crashed on Android and I've still not been able to watch a single movie because the interface just won't work. Sometimes I want to kill people who talk during movies, I think I'll suggest they get Movie Pass. This way, they won't be able to go to movies ever again and might even die of frustration from trying to use the app.
Buggy app, horrible customer service. Ordered a MoviePass card nearly 6 weeks ago, still have not received it. MoviePass keeps threatening to charge me, even when it knows that I do not have an active card. I would highly discourage new users from enrolling in this service until they can address their current issues.
