It really works! I had to wait a bit to get my card, but other than the sign-up fee, you're not charged for the service until you activate the card, so it was fine. I'm definitely getting one for my brother as a gift and I recommend it to everyone who asks. Just having it makes me want to see movies I normally wouldn't even consider. Great idea and service
The app works great! No hiccups so far. I was nervous at first. I thought it seemed too good to be true, but 2 months into my membership I couldn't be happier! I love going to the theater to see movies, but hate how crazy expensive that experience has become. Thanks to Movie Pass, I get to see more movies the way they were meant to be seen without breaking the bank!
The latest update fixed a few of my issues, and brings back the ability to see theaters in list form. I am now having issues with it opening Google maps instead of theater showtimes, which is a nuisance, but they seem to be quick to fix things like this. I still love the service, and love that I can stack my loyalty cards with it!
I have the card and have been able to use it one time out of 3 times going to the movies, because the app is so terrible on my Android Samsung Galaxy S5. It's an old phone, I know but still. I select a movie just outside the theatre and I get a spinning wheel loading and loading that just drains my battery. I select the theatre screen and have nothing but a black screen, no map. That's with gps enabled. I couldn't check in so I couldn't use the card and paid full for the movie. The first time I tried it I was at a different theatre, same issue. I thought maybe it was a phone signal issue, the box office overrode something and let me use the card although the app never worked. This third time I knew it was the app and not just my phone or the cell signal. Really needs improvement. The card was a gift and I'm unable to take advantage.
Can't even log in after creating an account via the website. Just get a JSON error. Tried clearing data, tried reinstalling the app, tried rebooting, same error. Service is conceptually awesome, delivery not so much. Every friend who's used it has had issues getting it up and running but love it once it is. Finally got it working, but every update seems to break it again
Until they did the update it was great, now you have to be at the theater to use it, well the dam thing wont work, cant use the card because they have eticket. It works on hubbys iphone but not my android. Really useless now, i didnt always go with him. I cant use it alone, and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
