Ratings and reviews

It's Ok. Limited information. Hard to see your previous transactions in a share: only option is to look at accounts historic trades. Desktop a better experience. A good thing is that it is easy to log in and execute quickly. Biggest issue with Hargreaves is that its really expensive to trade stocks compared to most other platforms. Much better value 212, eToro, AJ Bell for trading single stocks. HL charge you £11.95 to trade which is a disgrace when you are trying to deal in small amounts.

Astonishingly high charges to do anything. £11.95 ti buy even a 10p share AND another £11.95 to sell it again! On that alone I would highly recommend steering well clear. Not only that, however, the app isn't user friendly at all, no information easily displayed and very difficult to dig down into specifics. Having used Etoro for sometime, the difference in usability is just ridiculous. Avoid avoid avoid. Unless you're a masochist and love paying through the nose for a below par experience.

Charts for a lot of funds held in my portfolio don't show for any time period, meaning that I have to search for the funds on other websites to check for charts. Other fund details are also displayed more clearly on other websites rather than hidden in variably detailed PDFs. It would also be good to be able to see the current percentage split of my portfolio rather than having to calculate it myself, as can be done on other platforms.
