Good fun I first played this on Steam. The controls on a tablet are not ideal but they work. The game itself is surprisingly challenging if that is what you are looking for. However, I spent most of my time just rolling around in space, building larger Stars and more complex solar systems which makes for a "chill out" experience. I suppose the fact that I have bought the game twice now speaks volumes.
So Awesome! First discovered Solar and Solar 2 on Xbox Live Indie Games. Have since bought i for every platform I play games on. In my opinion, the best mix of adventure and god-game. Several paths from asteroid to black hole with "missions" get you started and so many reasons to replay. If your device runs it right (my Galaxy S4 is smooth as butter), I highly recomend this fun little time-sink. :-)
Best app on the market This is the best app/game ive every had. I love it! The only thing that would make it even better would be the back ground animated just a little or maybe even add gas particles. Then last would be multiplayer options. Everyone ends up being their own black hole with chatting and in the end boom the big crunch
Additive But.... This game is additive but it costs to much. And smashing into other stuff after the you evolve into a planet takes chunks of your mass. So it gets hard dodging each astoriod. And with your alien life blowing up every one you crash into it gets really hard to get stuff to gravitate around you!!! But otherwise it's awesome!!!
The game is righteous! Superb graphics, interesting scenarios & total freedom to go at your own pace whilst still being evolutive in progression and exploration. Great way to get away from the lackadaisical debt slave's attitude towards our American government suppressing our freedoms by being international banker's puppets.
Very challenging This game is kinda tough and its very fun. Every time I get close to evolving I get into a fight and loose all my mass. XD Also a small page in the menu with the game mechanics would be nice. I still don't understand it all. Do planets spawn drones in relation to how many enemies they've killed? Are the planet defenses based on the planets mass? And is picking up asteroids just pure luck or do different colored planets have better chances of picking up certain colored asteroids?
Latest Patch, v1.13:
- Added safe mode. A common issue was the game freezing after the loading screen, this was due to a hardware bug compiling the particle shader. If this occurs, activate safe mode on the bottom right of the opening splash screen.
- Orientation options. In the Options screen you can lock the orientation to either landscape orientation, or default to sensor landscape.
