BlackPlayer is a MP3 Music player that plays local content.

You can tweak the design to your liking with the powerful settings available. Swipe in the middle of the screen to navigate between the pages. Tap on the top titles for additional options. The mp3 music player keeps tracks of your most played Artists and Albums giving you a smart startpage called 'Play Now' with suggestions what to play.

Ratings and reviews

You used to be able to select the album art for your playlist or have the app automatically set it. Now both options give you an error message every time. When setting the album art manually by searching for the album cover, saving it and selecting it for the album art, it disappears when you delete the downloaded album cover from your phone. It's like you have to keep the downloaded album covers on your phone just so it can be seen on the playlist.

This app has consistently been a buggy mess. Some songs don't play at all. The lock screen doesn't update when the song changes. Reordering playlists is painful because you will accidentally grab the scroll bar and launch yourself 100 songs down. I held out for some things to be fixed, but each update things only got worse somehow. The latest bug: Changing songs and seeking sometimes doesn't work within 3 seconds of starting a song. App looks nice, but the dev is incompetent. Stay away.

Still giving 5 stars even though files don't show up in the order I download them anymore. Overall the app is phenomenal and it's one of the only ones I could find that actually works with Android Auto, so I use it to listen to music on my way to work/back home. Please fix the download order and it'll be perfect again. Edited: removed stars because sometimes the app will stop and revert back to a random song I listened to forever ago, which is super annoying.
