Sahih Muslim is a comprehensive book of the hadiths that were reported from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. His author limited himself to what was authentic from the hadith, and left out everything in its chain of transmission that was weak or weak. The Imam opened his Sahih with an introduction in which he mentioned the reason for writing the book, and the approach he followed, then he mentioned a few issues in the sciences of hadith that are of interest to the reader of the book. Then, after that introduction, he listed the topics of hadith in his book, and arranged them in books, named after the jurisprudential and legal topics, such as : Purity, faith, prayer, fasting, zakat, and so on.
