4/5 First off, having tried a bunch of text editors, several paid, this one works for me. I love the solarized theme and the font selection. Nesting folders, widgets, the fullscreen editing... the whole package including the name and even the icon just works for me and my style of workflow. Only pointing out here that I had to unlink the dropbox because I lost a draft in the middle of working on it. It's not a big deal because I'm not a big dropbox user. I'll stick with manual backing up until the next release hopefully. Just a cautionary note, still I think a fantastic tool!
Update: still no joy. App elegant and needed but continue to struggle to sync Nexus 7 - Files created on tablet will not sync. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, re-linked Droid Maxx phone to Dropbox. Will do so on tablet if I can backup files but do not know how. Please, help for 5 stars!
Single Note Widget Bug This is my favorite text editor on the play store, but there's an issue with the single note widget. Text files that have a colon character anywhere in the body will either partially display the contents, or show nothing at all. The single note widget is a big reason I've stuck with this app. It would be awesome if you could fix it!
Randomly empties notes I like everything about this app except its occasionally deleting the entire contents of notes without warning, reason, or possibility of recovery. That's totally unacceptable in an app of this kind.
Most essential app Extremely useful for composing quick notes and outlining random thoughts as they come. Ability to compose and render markdown is clutch, especially when snapping screenshots to save or share. Also, this app does not ask for any of your personal information to install itself. I am a heavy vim/tmux user, so I appreciate tools like this. To the developer(s), please consider adding tabs or workspaces in future versions.
Note contents sometimes disappear I've been using this app for just over a month for daily note-taking (Moto G with Lollipop). Twice during that time, I've hit the edit button on an existing note, and it's opened up blank, the previous content deleted. This is very unfortunate, as I like Draft's features, but what use is a note app that arbitrarily deletes your notes?
