About this app

Si Palui is a story about the lives of the Banjar people in Dipahuluan. We always update the Si Palui application regularly and can also be called "Palui Today"

The history of the emergence of the story of the Banjar Si Palui language cannot be separated from the history of the birth of the Banjarmasin Post newspaper. Since it was first published on August 2 1971, the story of Si Palui has become the lifeblood of this newspaper. It was Yustan Aziddin, one of the three founders of Bpost, who hatched it. However, Palui himself as a character has been in people's (oral) stories since the time of the Nan Sarunai kingdom (1500-1600 AD). according to Banjar cultural observer, Attaberani Kasuma.

There is no comprehensive research into the origins of the character Si Palui and there is also no clear meaning of the name Palui. The story of Si Palui as a folk tale could be recognized by any district in Banua. Even Yustan Aziddin, as the author of the story of Si Palui, himself admitted that his idea came from his own grandfather's stories which he often listened to as a child in Margasari Rantau.

This is perhaps what makes Si Palui's story very familiar to Banua people, whether they read it directly through the Banjarmasin Post newspaper, or hear it by word of mouth. The characters Palui, Garbus, Tulamak, Tuhirang, and several others seem to be representative of the character of the Banjar people. The events and settings also seem to record daily life in Banua. This was once stated by DR. Zulkifli in his dissertation entitled Banjar Cultural Values in the Palui Story. Si Palui indeed belongs to the Banua urang and lives among the people of South Kalimantan.

Finally, with the intention of not wanting to offend or harm anyone and we only provide entertainment for you. Dear Editor of B.Post, we ask for permission to republish the humorous stories of Si Palui Nowadays.
