This is a paid version of MX Player which provides an uninterrupted video experience without any ads.

It is crafted to be lightweight with only core functionalities. So some regionally restricted features such as online videos may not be available at the moment.

About "Draw over other apps" permission: This permission is required to block system buttons when input blocking is activated on the playback screen.
About "Pair with Bluetooth devices" permission: This permission is required to improve AV sync when Bluetooth headset is connected.
About "Disable screen lock" permission: This permission is required to remove screen lock temporarily when Kids lock mode is used. Nevertheless, secure screen lock will not be disabled.
About "Control vibration", "Prevent device from sleeping" permissions: These permissions are required for media playback on some devices.

Ratings and reviews

VLC for Android became an issue, has less features, & lately more bugs than MX Player Pro. However, MX Player has been reducing my video, that is playing, for an unknown reason, & giving me a message: if you want to use this feature, enable it in settings. It makes NO SENSE, the video is playing, many before it played, & I didn't interact with the player in any way. It is trying to do something I am unaware of. I simply ignore the message and maximize, and continue playing it.

This app fails to sync video and audio in all three decoder modes. This is your only bug report from me. Don't ask me to send email. After years of loyalty to this app, I can't continue with it. A better one starts with the letter x.

This video player app has played nearly every video file I've encountered (exception: a few pesky WMV files). The app's playback control interface is a little clunky to set up, but works very well.
