Need to be able to work offline. Sometimes I am not connected to my Google account all the time. Because there is no Internet or by any reason I remove Google account from the cellphone and the player just stop working because it can't confirm purchase of the product. For me. It doesn't make sense you have to confirm everytime I use it that its a purchase version. There are other ways like checking once in a month or something like that. Now. For the android tv version. You really need to implement upnp feature to the app. This is a MUST for us who likes dlna server and support you guys getting the paid version. Hope this letter gets to you. Cheers.
Well I finally bought an App. Was happy but now not so, as what I could trust to play anything will no longer play certain types of audio. There is some work-around but it causes the whole video stream to buffer over and over. Apparently buffering via network and now AC3 codec is its downfall. Brilliant!
The app is very good. My previous Sony video is screwed by Sony after upgrade to Android 7 and it can not play songs in the folder. This app can play songs in folder and you can add songs in many folders you want. It is awesome. The only minor issue is that it should allow to swipe left to go previous song or swipe right to go next song not touch screen and try to touch the next/previous button for next/previous song. I am sure that many users will agree with me on thus. Why? When you travel long distance for your vacation and you do not have time to look for the next/ previous button to go next/previous song.
Used to be flawless video playback from a number of different video formats bit recently have had issues so switching back to VLC. Always remembers where you were in a video. Needs a little tweaking (eg switching off video scroll on drag) but once that is disabled it's a great UI. VLC UI not as slick but handles all my videos & without having to fight to get audio codecs working. Needs to improve playback & installation to get back to 5 stars.
This has been my one and only video player for every file type. As far as DTS audio files go there has been no issues with the right codecs. With the resume play it's a bit of hit and miss scenario as of late. Still all round would say it's the best video player on the market for android without a doubt.
Seriously I was pretty pissed about this whole full screen ad crap but after dealing with vlc for about a week now it's not even close, mx player is light years away in terms of usability. 5 stars dudes!
