About this app

My Jump Lab is a science-based app that measures sports performance with your Android phone or tablet, with no additional hardware required. It is used every day by coaches, elite athletes, physical therapists and researchers in more than 140 countries, from local clubs to NBA teams.

Its accuracy has been confirmed in more than 20 international peer-reviewed scientific studies, with results comparable to those of expensive laboratory equipment. All of this using only your device's camera and sensors.

With My Jump Lab you can perform more than 30 tests covering jumping, strength, sprinting, change of direction, mobility, wellness and force-time analysis, all in a single platform.

⸻

HIGHLIGHTS

◉ AI-powered jump
In the CMJ and SJ, jump height is displayed on screen in real time while you record, thanks to AI pose detection. The classic frame-by-frame analysis mode is still available in all jump tests.

◉ Real-time barbell velocity
AI detects the barbell plate and calculates the velocity of each repetition while you train. You can also import videos to analyze them later.

◉ High-speed slow motion
On compatible devices, the app records high-speed slow-motion video so that frame-by-frame analysis is as accurate as possible.

⸻

INCLUDED TESTS

◉ Jumps
CMJ, SJ, CMJ with arm swing, drop jump, optimal force-velocity profile, RSI-mod, horizontal jump, single-leg asymmetry and repeated jumps (RSI 10-5).

◉ Velocity-Based Training (VBT)
Mean concentric velocity, load-velocity profile, 1RM estimation, velocity loss and bar path.

◉ Running and sprinting
Horizontal force-velocity profile, S-MAS, deceleration ability, curved sprint, duty factor, contact and flight times, leg stiffness, between-leg asymmetry, pronation/supination, contralateral pelvic drop and linear sprint with splits.

◉ Change of direction
5-0-5, 5+5, V-Cut and Illinois tests.

◉ Mobility
Range of motion of ankle dorsiflexion, cervical flexion/extension, hip flexion and internal rotation, and shoulder flexion and internal rotation.

◉ Wellness
Sleep, fatigue, stress and muscle soreness questionnaires.

◉ Hamstring strength
Break-point angle in the Nordic hamstring exercise and torque calculation.

◉ Force-time curves
Raw, real-time force-time curves measured with the device's accelerometer.

⸻

FEATURES

▶ Imported video analysis
Analyze videos recorded by your athlete or patient. Ideal for remote assessments.

▶ Multi-user
Create and manage as many users as you need.

▶ Cloud backup
Save your users and results to the cloud and restore them when you switch devices.

▶ Unlimited history
Save as many tests as you want for each user and track their progress over time.

▶ Data export
Export results to CSV files, ideal for research, academic work or advanced analysis.

▶ Phone and tablet
My Jump Lab works on both Android phones and tablets.

⸻

NOTE
Frame-by-frame analysis tests are more accurate with slow-motion videos. If your device can't record at high speed from within the app, you can record with your phone's slow-motion camera and import the video into My Jump Lab.

I had such high hopes for this app. So much buggy nonsense of setting up a profile just to test the app to see if it's accurate or not. Choosing imperial only changes a few variables leaving a mix of height in inches and velocity in meters per second. It uses a comma instead of "." which looks silly. Math is wrong everywhere. I'm assuming it's averaging all jumps recorded in inches, and displaying average in cm which is just a mess. This is βeta level app with great promise.

I used the previous app, and it worked just fine. Now on this app, I tried to check my CMJ free arm jump, and it reports 1158 inch vert. Previously I could enter the frame rate of the slow mo video, now I can't. I'm assuming it pulls the frame rate automatically, but it clearly is doing something wrong. I've watched the tutorials, and I know for a fact my video is completely in slow motion, no normal speed parts. I'll gladly modify the review if this gets fixed, or if I could get some help.

Hi! You just need to go to the menu and disable autofps, then the app will ask for your fps again. Cheers

I just spent 40 $ in this app thinking it was going to be amazing and it is terrible. PLEASE FIX THIS APP. Allow for the test results to be displayed a little more professionally, preferably under the athletes name with the bar graph and deficit. If I click on any athletes name it just gives me the option to edit their personal measurements. As of right now I do not recommend this app, Google play should consider removing it.
