Give voice to those who need it most with Papuguinho! 💚
Papuguinho is a completely free Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) system designed to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other speech difficulties express their thoughts, needs, and feelings. Our mission is to promote autonomy, confidence, and strengthen family bonds through clear and accessible communication.
Like a companion parrot, our mascot Papuguinho is the friend who gives voice to the child, reproducing in audio the words and phrases they build on the screen in a simple and fun way.
✨ MAIN FEATURES:
🗣️ Facilitated Expression (Voice Synthesis): The child touches the visual icons to form phrases, and the application immediately transforms this sequence of images into spoken words.
🎨 Intuitive Visual Boards: Clean interface with colorful icons, organized into categories and themed boards for quick and distraction-free navigation.
⚙️ Fully Customizable: Adapt the boards to the routine and specific needs of each child. Add new customizable icons and themes.
🔒 Safe Child Mode: The app features a "Parent Area" protected by challenges (such as math problems or biometrics). This ensures that the child can browse and communicate freely, without the risk of accidentally deleting their profile or changing settings.
📊 Access History: Track the history in the logged-in area for greater control and security over the account.
💰 100% Free: A social impact project, offering complete and unrestricted access to all families, clinics, and schools that need communication support.
🎓 ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Papuguinho is a solution developed with great care and technical rigor by students from the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) - Jacareí Campus. The application was born from the objective of using technology as a bridge to inclusion and independence.
