About this app
STuC PRO — Steam Turbine Calculator — calculates the expansion of saturated or superheated steam in a straight condensing or backpressure turbine using the IAPWS-IF97 steam tables. Built for engineering estimates, teaching, and precise “what if” checks on the go.
HOW IT WORKS
• Type inlet pressure, inlet temperature and exhaust pressure
• Choose what to solve for with the calculate icon: power, mass flow or isentropic efficiency
• The other two operating quantities stay inputs; results update as you type
• See full steam properties (h, s, v, quality, superheat) and volumetric flows
• Open the live h–s (Mollier) diagram — saturation dome, isobars, real vs isentropic expansion
• Exhaust wetness is highlighted below 90 % / 85 % steam content
• Copy the full result set to the clipboard
