Great database of food items, along with Barcode scanning or entering details off the label, if not in the database. Conversion between imperial and metric can crash it. Good integration with other apps, such as Withings but not Samsung S Health for activity synching, i.e. counting steps. No calorie breakdown for non-cardio exercises. Good, solid program but needs updates. Would like to see the time logged. Recent update removed Frequent Items but reinstall fixed this.
Update : Uninstall then reinstall & then frequent & recent foods came back. Loved it, until I updated & all my frequent & recent foods are gone! Back to scanning everything. Also, doesn't track calorie burning for strength training, which I can understand due to it being different for all, but I'd love to at least have the option to enter some general numbers. Other than that I love it.
Could sync better with the FitBit app than it does. Overall it's good. I wish there were a low-carb/keto-friendly version that didn't constantly nag about fat intake. I do like the barcode-scanning feature. What happened to my Recent/Frequent lists of foods though? They disappeared with the 2/19/17 update, and no new foods are being saved! MFP, you MUST bring back these lists! Your rating from me will remain at 2 stars until you do.
I've lost 40 lbs and kept it off for 2 years. I still faithfully log my foods. It make me aware and accountable for every calorie I decide to consume. Worked great until tonight. Now won't let me log in anything. Just keeps saying app has stopped. This it and ilk go back to 5 stars.
I love this app. The only thing I dislike is being able to record my workouts the way I like. I workout with my video games like nike training plus, I also do dance routines and yoga routines on my xbox. It won't allow me to record them without inputting reps. That doesn't work for me so often I just don't record my workouts at all. Other than that so far so good. I love scanning my food and recording my water intake. And I love that it can connect with my fitbit.
Edit 2-19-17 Uninstalling and reinstalling the app has brought back my frequent and recent list. Edit 2-15-17 Why is my recent and frequent list all empty? Please fix this please and thank you. There's need to be a drink category instead of just water. I understand that you can add the drink with your food but it would be nice to have it on its own. Other than that I like the app so far.
