I used to give this app 5 stars but I have now lowered my rating because of your constant pushing of the MFP Blog! I don't like the blog, I don't want to read the blog. I certainly don't want to constantly be shown photos of meat when I do not consume it! I had my settings set up on the app so I didn't have to see it at all in my news feed and now for some reason that setting isn't working. Please get it working again so we don't have to see blog posts at all if we don't want to! Thank you.
This app would be perfect if it had some sort of personal reminder/ alarm feature for working out & eating schedule (i didn't find such features in the free version). The reminder/alarm should be made in various forms of how personal trainers' motivate their clients. For users who like some support it could be the 'motivating and encouraging trainer' type of voice and words. For other users it could be in the form of 'mean drill sergeant' who would yell 'start working out fat ass!!'.
I have preached for years, weight loss is calories in/calories out. This app does what you need to do, record all food and limit your intake. Already 30lbs down, shooting for 70. Some weeks it's 2lbs, some weeks it's 4lbs. Love this app. If you have the will, (that's a must) then this app makes it easy to do.
Split window would be nice for samsung users. The weight graph needs improvement. For example when I log 71kg one week and the next I log 71 again it loos like it went up in the graph instead of remaining the same. Then if I log 70 the next week it doesn't touch the 70kg mark and it looks as if I had logged 70.3
Despise the new layout . Preferred the layout showing Nutritional information Instead of the spammy looking blog feed. Make a lite version for those that don't want all the clutter and that just want to monitor calorific intake without seeing recipe suggestions etc or give an option to switch it off!
The basic functionality is sound and they keep adding useful features. My pain points remain in the UX issues. Entering information requires taps all over the screen instead of keeping them near the bottom where they are easily reachable. This remains true even after the bottom bar was added.
Did you know that successful MyFitnessPal users eat 7% more raw fruit, 10% more almonds, and 11% more yogurt than the average user?
You can find these, and all other your favorite foods, in our database. And best of all, with this new version of the app you’ll experience a faster and more reliable experience when you’re logging them.
We hope you enjoy and happy tracking!
Stay in control and make smart and satisfying food choices anytime & anywhere.
