I have been using this for tracking my calories and macros and it has been great. Super easy to enter in your foods. The recipe option needs improvement thpugh I found. I tried tracking my workouts in it too but it is not really possible as it only recognises cardio and there is no way of entering in your weight training. Having said that I would still highly recomend for keeping a track of your daily food intake and it is super easy to use.
Used another app for a stretch, FitnesPal is better so am back. My comment from earlier still stands-FitBit exchange of steps/calorie count and the negative function is odd. Explanation of how this works is not easy to understand. Need an example- Saw a better explnation but need to See an Example. For a superior app add in excercises workout by average 💓 rate.
I love the app and I sync it with my Garmon connect which is 5 star service. However, when it comes to calories counting it's not that simple. The choices are great and it picks is German and English which is great as I live abroad but.... the amou t of calories really seem to vary and I never know which is the right choice. Plus I am never that clear on the measurements. Would be good to have plate, small medium or large. Much easier then having to guess how much the food weighs. Otherwise great app.
Really great to have on phone and keep me accountable. Used three years ago and had lost 22 lbs. I lost track when my mom, ex, uncle, aunt and good friend died within a 2 year span. Tried to eat my sorrow away, and now I need to get back at taking care of myself. It still had my saved foods so I could get back on track easier. This app makes us portion size aware which makes for a healthier world.
I really like this app. I tried a different one in the past and it put me off, but my boyfriend installed this on his phone and told me about it. We've been encouraging each other and I've been preparing low calorie meals. You can add friends and share your diary which is helpful when you eat the same meals with someone every day. It gives you a breakdown of what you have consumed for the day (sugar, sodium, fat) which gives me an idea of where I need to improve.
I want an app to count calories and I eat mostly food I make myself, very little prepared or restaurant food. The food database is huge. The ability to add recipes is a wonderful feature. But the app sometimes saved my recipes, usually didn't. Recipes never showed up in the list of foods to add to a meal in the diary. Over 8 days, the app synced one food item from one meal to the desktop site. MFP should be a great app, but it disappoints.
It’s officially spring in San Francisco. Here at MyFitnessPal we decided there was no better way to celebrate than with a little spring cleaning in the app. We’ve been busy sweeping away bugs, polishing our performance, and giving our reliability a good dusting.
We hope you enjoy and happy tracking!
