MyGov has laid the foundation for participatory governance bringing citizens onboard in the process of policy formulation and decision making by engaging them in a dialogue with the government and its representative bodies. MyGov has brought many ministries and government bodies on the platform with multitudes of topics being put forth for people to keep their views on.
To take concerted steps in the direction of strengthening participatory governance and making it more result driven, MyGov has envisioned a bouquet of applications which would assist stakeholder ministries and bodies to engage with users in on-ground execution of tasks and activities.
MyGov Move is one of the offerings for the citizens to actively contribute in Nation Building by rendering volunteering services to various initiatives.
MyGov Move app helps the citizens to engage with the government and deliver volunteering services to various government initiatives that would be highlighted in the app.
If you are not registered please register in the MyGov Move and deliver your volunteering services based on the required skills.
This current version (Version 1.0) of MyGov Move is launched with the “Vidyanjali” initiative.
Vidyanjali - (School Volunteer Programme) is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy to enhance community and private sector involvement in Government run elementary schools across the country under the overall aegis of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
This feature in the MyGov Move APP has been envisaged to bring together people willing to volunteer their services at schools which really need them. The volunteers will act as mentors, confidantes and communicators with children.
Persons who can apply for this programme through this Mobile App include Indian citizen (retired Professionals, retired government official including retired defence personnel, working professional and homemakers) and persons from the Indian Diaspora.
In further upgrades to MyGov Move, other initiatives for people to volunteer in would be shared.
