Each design update is worse than the last. UI uses screen space for pictures of the staff...why? I hate that they assume I want to hear the video, so the app stops any other audio going on. The same story is shown multiple times right next to each other. Shows stale articles from a month or more ago. So.many.dumb.ads. Turns out that not all change is "progress."

This app is better organized than the other local news apps. BUT I have problems with the articles not loading when I click on them. I end up closing it, counting to 3 and clicking again. Sometimes it takes doing this twice, and sometimes it doesn't work at all. This is about 50% in "top stories", but 90% in the "latest" category. Despite this issue, I still use the app bc it's the best of our local news apps

We are sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing. We are a few weeks away from launching a completely new news app that should fix the issues you are encountering when trying to read stories. Be sure that you have auto-update enabled.

I have not been impressed with the major update. The most annoying "feature," closing the app to the background sometimes results in the video player staying open on my screen. If this is intended behavior of the app a user should be able to disable this. I should not need to close the app and then have to follow up with closing a video window. The amount of wasted screen space in this app is kind of mind blowing, a big video at the top and photos of the anchors at the bottom. Do better.
