Great! This works like a charm. Fantastic job! The only problem I am having is with getting a mouse to work. Can it support a Bluetooth-connected mouse? My mouse device is /dev/input/mouse0, but even when I manually set that nothing happens (I can see the regular mouse cursor overlayed on the game but it is not captured and hence can't do anything). Does it require using a /dev/input/eventX device node instead?
Looks incredible, small problem with keyboard This product is the real deal. Q3 looks incredible, and it plays very smooth. The only issue I'm having is that wasd will not work as movement keys with my bluetooth keyboard. Arrow keys will work, but that feels very odd to an old pc gamer like me. The mouse implementation is great, and this would be an easy 5 star if the keyboard worked correctly.
Touch controls work great... ...if you remap fire to a hardware key like volume up. The game was difficult to control at first using the touchscreen until I mapped fire to the volume up key. This allowed me to move and aim with my thumbs while having my index finger reserved for taking shots. Game was 100x more playable after that. Anyway, great port. OpenArena never looked so sweet. Two thumbs and a trigger finger up.
Awesome app. Legendary game. If you have a controller, and can download Quake 3 off of the Internet (Or Steam and the game discs) this app is a must. Quake 3 in all of its arena gameplay is intact here. Since the touch controls are near unplayable, use a controller. I use the Red Samurai controller. Be sure to update Quake 3 to the Point Release patch before uploading the game files to your device.
Pretty awesome on the Nvidia Shield Pretty great that this works on the Nvidia Shield. I ran it from my sdcard with the path of /storage/sdcard1/qiii4a My only issue so far are my own. I can't figure out how to switch weapons and my movement speed with the right stick seems to be slow. I'm sure there is a setting for this somewhere.
NEED MOUSE SUPPORT! It's looking great except for finding my bluetooth mouse. Autodetect doesn't work and I've tried events 0-5 and mouse0, mouse1, etc. Please respond as I see from the reviews that I'm not the only one. Maybe help me try to find the event id for mouse?
Added ACCESS_SUPERUSER permission because some authors of Superuser apps think that it is clever to ask root permissions twice (but I think that it is the most stupid idea I've ever heard).
Replaced one-time donate notification with bottom offline ad: 4 (for each port) one-time notifications are quite annoying.
A bit more friendly to users that don't read the description.
Updated engine and GCC used to build it.
