Contraction Timer is an application that helps you time contractions during labor.
* Simple and intuitive screen to time contractions
* E-mail contraction data: can be helpful for your doctor or as a memento
* Create and manage a packing list - things to take to the hospital
* Create a phone list - a few phone numbers when you need them
* Data stored on your device by design
The main screen is simple and intuitive: it contains one button to start / stop the timer and history of timed contractions. By looking at the history user is able to have at the finger tips the information about frequency and duration of past contractions. Labor contractions are the periodic tightening and relaxing of the uterine muscle, the largest muscle in a woman's body. Contractions decrease in duration and increase in frequency as labor draws closer.
User should start timing when she feels a few contractions in a row that seem to be following a regular pattern so she can determine whether she going into labor. User can erase the contractions history by clicking on Menu on the title bar and selecting Clear Data button.
You can e-mail your contraction timer data. This might be useful information for your doctor or as a memento after the labor is done.
A separate screen lets you create and manage a packing list: things you want to take to the hospital. By simply clicking on the item in the list, the checkbox indicator can be used as a reminder of whether the item is already packed or not.
We also added a phone list to the application: we think it is important to have most of the important information at your fingertips. So adding a few numbers to the application screen will allow you to quickly locate the number you need for either hospital admissions, you doctor or other numbers you want to manage in the app.
Data is stored locally on your device by design. We use a local storage feature of HTML 5 which is more secure, and large amounts of data can be stored locally, without affecting application performance.
