It works for files only, but no instructions.... From your file manager, go to the file that you want a shortcut for. Long hold it and choose 'Share'. Choose this app to share it to. The app will open where the default is the filename and location. Choose your icon for the shortcut. And you're done! It's very simple. It's ashame that the screen shots above didn't include how to get to the screens shown. smh
Useful simple little app. Minimal permissions. Does what it says intuitively, but BEWARE: when I selected Settings option 'Hide from Launcher' it deleted all my previously created shortcuts. Lots of work recreating them all!
Yes, but The point of tablets is that they put capable computers in the hands of non-computer people. File shortcut seems to work fine. Then a week later it is impossible to work out how to work it again. Plain English help in terms of pressing things? From the launcher? huh? Choose this app from launcher apps. huh? Say that again in user English?
Excellent Glad I found this app today. Solved my problem. Perfectly set up some home screen shortcuts for my wife and kid to easily access some videos on my Nexus 7.
Nice App Cool one.. I have created Shortcuts for my notes/PDFs/Worksheets on my homescreen very easily. And for most of the file type it will show related icon, so easy to understand the filetype from the shortcut icon.
Great Application for quick access! First of all thanks to developer to share great application! Using this application no longer to put my files in single common folder... Now I can organize folder and files of my project in my own way. Great application for all users who are hating tap tap to access files
