Mannypl Instructions not too clear for this app. To use, select a home screen where you have room for shortcut you are going to create. Hold down on screen and select Widgets, then select File Shortcut from the Widgets. After you drag the widget to the screen you will then be taken to a screen where you can find the file by using File Manager(or other if you have more than one) or Gallery. You can then rename it and change the icon. Great app in my opinion - just needs a decent help file or above instructions.
It works for files only, but no instructions.... From your file manager, go to the file that you want a shortcut for. Long hold it and choose 'Share'. Choose this app to share it to. The app will open where the default is the filename and location. Choose your icon for the shortcut. And you're done! It's very simple. It's ashame that the screen shots above didn't include how to get to the screens shown. smh
Useful open app (How to use) Great app without unnecessary permissions. Just More explanation about procedure is required. The file shortcut procedure :- 1. It requires file manager. So if not installed any, please install from Google play. 2. Open the file manager 3. Go to the required file -> check how 'Share' or 'send to' option appears, Usually it will appear after long press on the file. 4. Now 'file shortcut' will appear in context menu. Select 'file shortcut'. 5. The 'file shortcut'.window will open up. Fill in the required details. 6. The selected file shortcut icon appears on homescreen
Fantastic app This is fantastic!!! I have been going mad to try to copy and paste a movie from File Manager to my homescreen and could not do it. This app is so simple and just so amazing. I was pleasantly surprised that once I had clicked and chosen 'share' in File Manager - then clicked on 'File Shortcut' in the box, that all I had to do was to click 'ok' when your screen came up, and there was my movie/photograph on my home screen. No setup to have to work through, as it was all automatic. Voila !! Thank you so much!!
Yes, but The point of tablets is that they put capable computers in the hands of non-computer people. File shortcut seems to work fine. Then a week later it is impossible to work out how to work it again. Plain English help in terms of pressing things? From the launcher? huh? Choose this app from launcher apps. huh? Say that again in user English?
Wss great, but..... App works as advertised. BUT, every time I have to power down the phone or pull the battery, any document shortcuts that I created disappear from the desktop. I have emailed the developer 5 times about this problem & they refuse to acknowledge or answer any support emails. So, a good app but the developer refuses to offer any support. It would also be very helpful if even simple app instructions were available (they are currently not).
Fixed bug with cropping.
Enabled to crop the icon by your gallery apps
Enabled to edit a target file path
Add some options (kill process, hide from launchers)
Bug fix about the icon size and so on
Bug fix (enable to press OK Button in landscape. )
If you want to use stable old version, please download it.
You can create a shortcut to perform various actions and configuration changes of the terminal.
