Can't create a watch zone without a profile. Creating a profile goes to a white screen, with nothing in it. Can't log in with profile, it flashes a message when I try, but I can't read it in the millisecond it is visible. So, in simple terms, it is literally useless.
A bushfire is closing in and I get server errors!!! This confusing, poorly designed and developed app is going to cost lives. Show me where the actual bushfire is so I can make a decision to stay or go.
It consistently fails to allow the creation of a named watch zone and alerts for that area. I select the centre and range to be covered then go to enter a name. It won't accept anything, even the character counter doesn't change. I'll just listen to the ABC as this app could get someone maimed or killed.
2KM Watch Zone radius PLEASE!! 1km doesn't fully cover most local areas and 5km covers too many in the suburbs. This is a fantastic app, delivers an incredibly important service, amalgamated from many emergency types and services.
After last update, my watch zone disappeared. Coming into first run of hot weather, and can't reliably view the fire danger ratings for the next four days. I viewed it once, but now won't show the four days. Constantly get incident expired messages even if I immediately check when notified. Panning and zooming of maps is sometimes not responsive, or slow to respond if it does.
Couldn't turn off notification sound so was forced to remove app. Please fix so annoying beep beep beep can be silenced. Now forced to use the website instead of this silly app. Is this the emergency feature vicemergency wants? I don't think so. Bad programming.
We've been working on some updates and fixes to improve VicEmergency app experience for Android devices.
Here's what's changed in recent updates:
• Display of fire danger ratings for your current location and watch zones
• Improved performance and reduced data usage
• Updated our base map to the latest Spatial Vision VicMap Book
• Miscellaneous bug fixes
