Absurd that we need to rely on external apps for this, but fortunately this one works. I had a problem with a 13gb archive and they patched the app within hours after my support request! The instructions are a little dated but once you understand, the process is click click click.

excellent app. if it doesn't find backups, reinstall WhatsApp. worked beautifully for me after that. the price is fair.

Excellent work on this, all of my groups and individual chats with voice clips, videos and photos have all come across with no issues at all. Cannot believe the effort is required to make WhatsApp migrate but these guys have gone top notch into making this work with their app. most critical part is to follow every step carefully and it will get the job done, if you think you've understood, read it again.
