7 year customer first issue After 7 years of using the software, two scanners and now the mobile app on a daily basis, I had my first technical issue. I was concerned when I looked online and realized I did not have the subscription that allowed for phone support and then even more alarmed when I read the horror posts on the customer service. But I had no choice, so I emailed them . I got a response saying they received my email and would reply with in 72 hours. Not ideal but ok. Two hours later,I got a full technical resolution
The best scanner I have been using Neat for 5 years, I only had one issue with synching, to be fair their support is slow to respond but the application has made my life organized and my desk clean especially with receipts.
Mobile app is subpar Been using desktop for 10+ years (terrible interface otherwise decent) Android app doesn't clean up document scans the way Evernote or even free apps like Scanbot do. User has to manually crop image while other scanners do this automatically. Other issue: you can upload photos but there's no file explorer so forget about saving downloaded pdfs. (and really why else would you want to upload a file on your phone?) . For a subscription service, pretty bare bones, to be charitable.
Check it out. This ends up being the coolest thing for my business travels. It's money back in my pocket.
neat mobile the customer service absolutely SUCKS!! i had to call four times just to get the computer to understand the spelling of my last name. it's only four letters long, there's no reason for the computer to not understand it. then i'm told that i can't speak to a live operator. there are only so many things that a computer can tell you in regards to tech support before you actually need to speak to an actual person. after all the money i spent on your device i would expect that i would be able to speak to someone when something is going wrong. get someone on the phone to speak to, even if just to confirm the spelling of one's name and the email they have. this is NOT good service support!!
Use it for work Scan items with my phone and nothing happens. I keep getting a processing message and nothing ever processes. Sometimes receipts are stuck in processing mode and duplicated multiple times after an image has been taken. Nothing syncs properly and it's not worth the trouble. Would rather put up with smart receipts.
